Vitaly Tret'yakov is a Russian journalist and political scientist born on January 2, 1953, in Moscow. He is the dean of the Higher School of Television at Lomonosov Moscow State University since 2008 and served as the general director and editor-in-chief of the Independent Publishing Group from 2001 to 2013. Tret'yakov hosted the philosophical TV program 'What to Do? Philosophical Conversations' on the Culture channel from 2001 to 2020. He is a professor, a member of various political councils, and has faced EU sanctions for promoting Russian aggression against Ukraine.
