Volodymyr Vasilyovych Snitynskyi, born on May 5, 1948, in Kozivka, Ternopil Oblast, is a former rector of the Lviv National University of Nature Management. He is a distinguished figure in science and technology in Ukraine (awarded in 1997) and earned a Doctor of Biological Sciences degree in 1989. Snitynskyi is an academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is also a full member of the Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine and a member of the New York Academy of Sciences.
