Walter Silva was a Brazilian journalist and music producer born in São Paulo on March 7, 1933. He started his professional career in 1952 as a commercial announcer for Radio Piratininga. Over the years, he worked intensely as a journalist for various radio stations, including Rádio 9 de Julho, Rádio Cultura, and Rádio Nacional do Rio de Janeiro, where he presented musical shows. He was also known by the nickname 'Pica-Pau'. Walter Silva passed away on February 27, 2009.
