Xavier Morgades i Vallès, born on December 31, 1954, in l'Espluga de Francolí, is a Catalan farmer and musician. A self-taught musician, he directed the folk group l'Olla Barrejada in the 1970s. He became interested in choral singing through teacher Lluís Virgili i Farrà, leading him to create the Coral Espluguina in 1982, which has grown from 17 to 37 members. He has participated in numerous choral meetings and held positions with various choirs, as well as teaching music in local institutions. In 2009, he received an award for his efforts in preserving folk songs and traditions.
