Yervand (Ferdinand) Markos Petrosyan was an Armenian poet and journalist born on February 23, 1940, in Yerevan, Armenia. He was a member of the Soviet Writers' Union from 1977 and a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1966. Petrosyan was known for his contributions to Armenian literature and journalism until his death on June 12, 2016.
