Yuriy Ivanovich Aslanyan was a Soviet and Russian writer, poet, journalist, and author known for his short stories, novels, portraits, and environmental materials. Born on February 5, 1955, in Krasnovishersk, he served as the president of the Perm branch of the Russian Union of Writers from 2005 to 2008, and subsequently became the chief editor of the Perm Columnist media group until 2010. He was of Armenian descent and passed away on April 7, 2024.
