Yūsaku Okamoto is a Japanese cycling coach born on February 22, 1935. He served as the coach for the Japanese Olympic cycling team during three consecutive Olympic Games from 1976 in Montreal to 1984 in Los Angeles. Under his guidance, the team saw notable achievements, such as a sixth place finish by Nagayoshi Kazu in Montreal and a bronze medal by Sakamoto Tsutomu in Los Angeles. He was honored with the Olympic Order Silver Medal in 2001 and currently serves as an advisor to the Japan Cycling Federation.
