Zakayo Malekwa is a Tanzanian athlete and evangelical pastor born on February 2, 1951. Initially raised in a Muslim family, he began practicing athletics, particularly javelin, during his military service. He became the African champion in javelin in 1982 and competed in the Olympics in 1980, 1984, and 1988. After studying in the USA, he converted to Christianity and pursued a theology degree. Currently, he serves as the director of evangelism in the Mbulu diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania.
