Zhang Mingchun (May 1938 – June 29, 1994) was a Chinese general in the People's Liberation Army, originally from Hulan, Heilongjiang. He held the position of political commissar of the 28th Group Army and held the rank of major general. During the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989, he was demoted for his passive disobedience to orders. His actions during this period marked a significant moment in his military career.
