Zlatko Šnajder was a Croatian communist born on March 5, 1903, in Obrež near Pećinaca. He became an influential figure in the communist youth movement, serving as one of the seven secretaries of SKOJ. He was arrested multiple times for his political activities and spent significant time in prison, suffering severe consequences for his beliefs. Despite his hardships, he actively edited communist publications. Šnajder died in April 1931 in Zagreb due to illness related to his imprisonment and torture, and he was buried in Mirogoj in 1968.
