Zorko Vičar is a Slovenian astronomer and educator born on March 28, 1962, in Kog. Since 1990, he has led the Astronomy Circle at Šentvid Gymnasium. He is a co-founder of the Vega Astronomical Society and a mentor for various astronomy research projects. Vičar initiated the 'Telescope for Every School' program, successfully providing astronomical equipment to 526 schools in Slovenia. He also manages the AKGŠ website and publishes popular science articles in the 'Spika' astronomical magazine and 'Gea' journal.
