Charles W. Moore Jr. is a retired vice admiral in the United States Navy, born on May 24, 1946. He served as interim Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy from June to August 2003. A Naval Academy graduate in 1968, he commanded U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, and held the position of Deputy Chief of Naval Operations. After retiring in 2004, he joined Lockheed Martin, becoming Chief Executive-United Arab Emirates in 2009.
