Constantin Dumitrache (February 15, 1948 – November 20, 2001) was a Romanian literary historian, essayist, and publicist. Born in Potcoava, Olt, he completed his education at the University of Craiova, studying Philology. He worked as a chief editor of the student magazine Cadran universitar and contributed to several publications and radio programs. His literary debut was an article in Cadran universitar and his first book of essays, Conștiința artistică prin operă, was published in 1979. He was married to poet Doina Dragut.
