David D. Schaaf (born February 15, 1939) is a former American politician and businessman known for his role in the Minnesota Senate from 1973 to 1980, representing the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. He was a florist based in Fridley, Minnesota, and also served as an editor for the Fridley Sun newspaper. Schaaf was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Duluth East High School before attending St. Cloud State University.
