Eric Danielsen was a Danish journalist, television host, and author born on February 18, 1920, and passed away on November 1, 2008. He was notable for being the first newsreader on DR's TV Avisen when it premiered on October 15, 1965. Danielsen trained as a journalist at Skive Venstreblad and worked for the communist newspaper Land og Folk, including a period as a correspondent in Warsaw, Poland, before joining DR in 1965.
