Gerry Sont, born Gerard Sont on January 24, 1961, is an Australian actor and television host known for his roles in various television series and stage productions. He portrayed Melvin in 'Melvin, Son of Alvin' and was a recurring character, Brett Mackin, in 'Home and Away' from 1988 to 2005. Additionally, he starred as Cal Lawrence in the TV series 'Chances'. Sont was also the original host of the Australian version of 'Double Dare' and a presenter on ABC's 'Antenna'. His stage work includes notable productions such as 'La Cage aux Folles' and 'The Cherry Orchard'.
