Gretchen Miller Kafoury (1942–2015) was an influential American politician from Oregon. She served in the Oregon House of Representatives, Multnomah County Commission, and Portland City Council. A graduate of Whitman College, she co-founded the Oregon chapter of the National Organization for Women in 1970. Her political career spanned from 1977 to 1998, and she was known for her advocacy on women's rights. After her tenure in political office, she taught at Portland State University, focusing on issues related to poverty and community development. Kafoury passed away in 2015 at the age of 72.
