Jorge Armando Felix is a Brazilian army general and economist born on February 15, 1939, in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated from the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras in 1959 and holds a degree in economics. Felix commanded the 2nd Army Division from April 19, 1999, to December 21, 2000, and was promoted to army general on November 25, 2000. He served as the Minister of State for the Institutional Security Cabinet under President Lula starting in 2003 and continued through both his terms.
