Jun Marumo is a Japanese erotic novelist born on May 21, 1953, in Shizuoka Prefecture. Her father was a professor of modern Japanese literature at Shizuoka University. She graduated from Tamagawa University and worked in the overseas department of a construction company, later becoming an editor. Encouraged by Kōji Nakata, she began writing novels, becoming notable for her impact as one of the first female erotic novelists, alongside Taki Okae and Yoshiko Nakamura. In 1986, she gave birth to a son out of wedlock.
