Ken Kuronuma, born Michio Soda on May 1, 1902, was a prominent Japanese novelist and writer of science fiction and mystery during the Shōwa period. He is best known for penning the Kaiju film 'Giant Monster of the Sky: Rodan,' released in 1956, which gained popularity in Japan and the United States. After his next film, 'Varan the Unbelievable,' was poorly received, he shifted to television, writing for the early science fiction series 'Undersea Man 8823' in 1960, where he also contributed to the music.
