Ladislav Sehnal (February 5, 1931 – October 26, 2011) was a Czech astronomer known for his work in calculating and tracking the orbits of artificial satellites. He was the first post-1989 director of the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences from 1990 to 1996. Sehnal graduated in astronomy from Charles University in 1954 and was involved in significant research, including the first determination of a meteor's trajectory from the Pribram meteorite in 1959. He also led projects on satellite dynamics and developed instruments for precise measurements of non-gravitational accelerations.
