Michael Marra was a Scottish musician from Dundee, known for his songwriting, particularly in folk music. He performed across the UK, Australia, and the United States and collaborated with various theater and dance companies. Marra worked with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Scotland. He wrote the play 'St Catherine's Day' and published a collection of short stories titled 'Karma Mechanics' as well as the opera 'Nan Garland'. His discography includes several CDs such as 'On Stolen Stationery' and 'Michael Marra'. He passed away from lung cancer in 2012.
