Muammer Aydın was a Turkish jurist who completed his higher education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law. He began his career as a candidate judge in Istanbul and served as a judge in various cities including Özalp, Doğanşehir, Vezirköprü, Kırşehir, and Ankara. He was elected to the Yargıtay 5th Civil Chamber on May 8, 2001, and later became a member of the Supreme Election Council in January 2007, where he served as president until January 2010. He retired from Yargıtay due to age limit in April 2010.
