Péter Lukács is a Hungarian viola artist and university professor born on May 24, 1946, in Budapest. He is a solo violist for the Budapest Philharmonic Society and a member of the Budapest Chamber Ensemble. Additionally, Lukács plays with the Austrian-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra and is part of the Budapest Baryton Trio. He serves as a teacher of viola methodology at the Music Academy. His son, also named Péter Lukács, born in 1984, has followed in his father's footsteps as a violist.
