Zinovii Mykhailovych Sokolovskyi was a Soviet Ukrainian scientist in law, known for his expertise in criminal procedure and forensics. Born on December 31, 1917, in Kharkiv, he participated in World War II and became a Doctor of Law. Sokolovskyi spent much of his career at the Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations, where he led the forensic identification department and the handwriting examination laboratory. He was a student of M. M. Grodzynskyi and passed away on October 18, 1975, in Kharkiv.
