Arunachalam Nagalingam (February 25, 1901 - March 19, 1979) was a Tamil scholar and writer born in Karaikal, Sri Lanka, who later lived in Malaysia. He is known for his novel 'Sambashivam-Gnanamirtham' or 'Nanneri Kalanjiyam' published in 1927. Nagalingam was actively involved in community service and helped rebuild temples in Malaysia. After World War II, he returned to Sri Lanka in 1947, where he continued his social work and raised seven children.
