Sentarō Kitaura (February 25, 1901 - April 18, 1961) was a pre-war Japanese social activist born in Osaka. After graduating from elementary school, he worked in printing, becoming involved in labor movements and joining the newspaper workers' union. He studied in the Soviet Union and engaged with the Japanese Communist Party. After various political and labor activities, including the founding of the publication "Rōnō", he faced controversies leading him to part ways with the party. Post-war, he served as the union chairperson at Japanese newsprint factory.
