Vladimir Evgenievich Yukhnin (born February 20, 1937, Leningrad) is a prominent shipbuilder and the chief designer (general designer since 2004) at the Northern Design Bureau since 1979. He is regarded as one of the leading designers and organizers in shipbuilding. Yukhnin is an academician of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (1992) and of the Russian Engineering Academy (2001). He specializes in the modern design of large surface ships for the Navy and complex research vessels.
