Wow what a coincidence! I’ve known my cancer friend since grade school. We went to high school together but never spoke. He went off to the military and messaged me a couple years ago on Instagram. I have met a Cancer male and would like some help. I’m wondering if I should keep trying to make a connection with him or if I should move on.

Times are good or bad. When they are bad they are very bad. Yet give her a few days and no matter how bad something was, she is sorry and feels bad about it.
The big problem we have is when things are bad I want to fix it right away and she needs space and time. This makes a bad situation worse. However, I admit that, if we weren’t working in the same company and that she is single and not dating, I might have asked her on a date.
I’m a Cancerian male and what is described in the compatibility article seems true. I haven’t dated a Gemini woman before, but I can say that the best women I have known so far in my life were Gemini’s. How I get to know these Gemini women occured usually in the workplace. For the past couple of years that I worked at a few companies, there is at least 1 Gemini woman I have known at each of these companies and each time I meet them, we have so much in common when we discuss topics, what are ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’ are, etc. I haven’t worked directly with them (until now) but I usually meet and chat with them at lunch or social events organized by the companies. However, for the past couple of months I have been working with a Gemini who is great. This is so crazily true! My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years now, and I being a Gemini know I have put him through some tough times. I was 16 when we started dating and had the constant feeling that I wanted to experience more with my dating life, even though I loved him. We did have our flaws at first, me being a Gemini felt as though he was a little clingy, but I learned that he was just showing his love for me. Jonathan, thanks so much for your reply. I agree that there are a lot of differences between Cancer and Gemini, but at the same time, there are so many similarities. It seems as if my Cancer only focuses on the differences sometimes and forgets all the things we share that are the same.
I do have some good news though. He has taken his time to think, and asked me out on a “date” (even used the word date when he asked). He has been emailing me a lot to talk about our shared interests (lots of compliments, smiley faces, etc). When I didn’t answer the phone the other night (was in the other room and didn’t hear it), he called back three times. A little worried I might be with someone else perhaps?
Now I have to decide if the hurt he has caused me is something that I can forgive or forget. I am a little scared now to let him back in and the trust in our relationship has been damaged. @marketh So glad to hear things are turning around for you. I wish I could say that my Cancer and I are still together and happy and in love, but I can’t. He came to my house last week to end it with me. He was so cold to me. I almost didn’t recognize him. It was as if all the love had drained out of him between the time I had last seen him and the time he showed up at my house to talk. He told me he didn’t see us getting married or having children. He told me we are too different. He completely gutted me and broke my heart into a thousand pieces, then drove away as I cried. Two days before this happened, he told me he loved me more than anyone he has ever loved. Needless to say, I am heartbroken and confused.
Now we have talked about the issues he has with our relationship, and he wants to take some time to think. He is regretful of how he ended things with me. In the meantime, I am to sit around and wait until he decides if he wants me or not. I am a mess. I love this man with all my heart. He is the best I have ever had. This time I am sitting around waiting for him to decide if I am good enough is killing me. @crissy42o . Yes it is always possible for a cancer man to go cold on some one he loves with all his heart but thats extremely rare case and only when he feels that you have hurt him.
He might be thinking that he is not enough for you or is just hurt for something you said or did and it could be long time ago as well. I have to address Marketh, but first I wanted to say that this site depicted Gemini quite accurately.
Back to Marketh’s story, alas I’m afraid it’s just not going to work. I see myself all over that, and she’s really just being a Gemini by being your friend.
There is not one guy I have ever dated that I cannot call. I can call all of them and they will always be excited to take my calls, but I already know this before I call.
Additionally, I have never dated a guy that didn’t try to get me back.
It usually takes about 3 months for me to be bored with a guy, though I rarely ever ‘breakup’, I just pretty much carry on with my life while he gets the coldness.

oh thanks, lulu. glad you are doing well. my gem’s birthday was yesterday, may 30, so I baked her a cake and took it to her before she went to work. she seemed utterly delighted. I have noticed what i feel is her heart softening up a little toward me. she has been quite sweet and it reminds me of how she was. I am truly back to the feelings of utter adoration I had when we were doing well. just knowing what was going on and the answers to all of the questions that were plaguing me has truly set me free and I am more in love with her now than ever before. I have so missed being able to show affection to her when we get together. when I brought her the cake she told me it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for her and then she gently slid her arm around my back and caressed me for several moments that I wish ccould have lasted forever. she then wrapped her hand around my arm at the elbow and softly ran her fingers over my skin which is one of the things she always did when she was feeling good about me. i was in heaven. i have missed her so much. it almost felt like a kiss was coming on but small steps are fine with me as long as we keep making them. i sang happy birthday to her and she ran and got her camera and had me take a picture of her as she blew out the candles. she even took a picture of me by my the cake (it was my first baking experience:) and insisted on getting one with both of us in it. we got close and i held her camera at arm’s length and immortalized the moment digitally. i was on cloud nine. I am trying to show her by my actions and demeanor that I want to work on things rather than just talking about changing. she has been upbeat and vibrant again and i have been in a good mood from feeding off of her in turn. I feel like we are really enjoying eachothers company again. I still can’t stop thinking of her. I just want to keep being positive and ride this to where it goes. The thing about Gemini women is that we easily fall head over feet into love with someone, and just as easily climb back out of love and walk away unscathed. I wanted to update because the compatibility between my sign and Cancer is something really close to my heart. she listed things that were indeed quite plausible, and things i agreed and apologized for,and other things i felt quite petty and trivial. it honestly felt as if she just turned into another person out of the blue. i had heard of the supposed unappealing gemini traits of lack of willingness to commit (which was blatantly evidenced right from the jump in the fact that she told me she had broke off an engagement and didn’t regret or have any feelings for the guy she was going to live with forever. hello dummy, run. run. run!) and their fickle and flirtatious nature, and their cold emotions but she tricked me for a bit. we talked about marriage, and she had me on cloud nine. i thought she accepted me but later she listed off everything she just couldnt get past. really upset me. i honestly thought we were just getting things off of our chests and learning what we were each doing wrong or were thought to be doing wrong by the other and that we were going to move on with this new knowledge being that we could be mindful of things that were causing conflict. people can change. we have to. especially when it is something important like love. i am back to fully adoring her again now that i can see and understand all of the things she didnt express to me that i needed to know. i am no longer growing resentful of her because she was drifting away for reasons i had no idea about. i feel as though i am back to where i was when i first fell for her. but now it is too late. and yet she still allows me to visit her. we still talk daily. we text from awakening to bedtime. she takes interest in my life and activities. she just wont show me any romantic affection. i hate it. it is killing me. i want to touch her so badly but i can’t. all the while it is utterly baffling to me that she could just turn everything she was supposedly feeling off. i keep hoping that maybe she is just trying to make me wake up and realize the legitimate wrongs i have perpetrated. well i have. i just regret that she didnt give me a chance to address things and at least attempt to work things out. i have a feeling she is already talking to another guy. she claims not and she is not a liar. i fear what i will do when that day arrives. i won’t be able to continue my “friendship” with her. as it stands, i feel like i havent put closure to this as we still talk and visit and it feels like maybe she is enjoying me again or maybe it is wishfull thinking on my part. i have mourned and cried but the death of the relationship and the ultimate complete separation hasnt happened yet and i cant bear the thought of it. the day when it is really over. when hope dies. when my love for her ends and contempt will seap into my heart. i dont want that. i love her so. here i sit still trying to believe she will let me back in. it seems as though she has no problem throwing everything away. that is something i fail to grasp. is that just a gemini. do i have a chance? While it has been a rough ride for you but lets only talk of things that might help you with this situation and make you feel better.
To make this work you will now do the exact opposite of what you have doing. For e.g. instead of arguing him and pointing out his mistakes, you will be more appreciative of him, for whatever good qualities he has.
Instead of “demanding”, you will be more on the “giving” side. Be grateful to him for whatever good things he did for you etc. You are not doing all this for him but for yourself. Hopefully things will sort out.
